Diabetic Check-ups

Weather you have Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, it is essential to maintain good health to prevent the adverse health complications often associated with Diabetes.
This comprehensive assessment aims to detect early complications in the legs and feet i.e. sensation, circulation, changes to shape and skin. Our clinicians can help you to understand your risk factors and work with you to help manage any changes you are experiencing. Where appropriate, we can also liaise with your GP if further help is needed to reduce your blood sugar levels.
Annual check-ups are advised.

Leg Circulation Assessments

This service aims to promote early detection of changes to the blood supply in the lower limbs. The most common change to blood supply is caused by Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and even without symptoms this can increase your chance of a heart attack or stroke. With a non-invasive assessment of your circulation, our clinicians can assess your risk factors, explain the findings of the tests and help you to decide what to do next.
This assessment also benefits those with previously diagnosed arterial problems; monitoring for any changes.
If you have any concerns about your circulation, this diagnostic assessment can bring to light problems with blood flow.

Lacuna Method® for Fungal Nails

Fungal nail infections are notoriously difficult to treat, often leading people feeling they must accept that they are stuck with the condition forever.

The Lacuna Method® is a contemporary and innovative treatment, which is relatively painless and requires no anaesthetic.

Using the Lacuna Method® of fenestration, many tiny micro holes are created across the infected nail plate, enabling the application of an anti-fungal agent, directly to the nail bed where the infection lies.

To get the very best from the Lacuna treatment, Patients must apply an anti-fungal spray (your first bottle included as part of the treatment regime) daily, and return to the clinic for follow up appointments every six weeks.

Treatment time takes from around 45 minutes (depending on the number of toes affected and the number of holes required), with follow ups recommended every 6 weeks to review, and further fenestrate the nail plate where required.
